Admissions

The Young School and Elementary welcomes visits of prospective clients.  Please call for an appointment and the administrator will provide information, answer questions and tour the facility with you.

Our primary concern is for each child to succeed in our school environment.  We seek to enroll students of sound character and educational promise who will provide a diverse population in talent, background and experience.

For the pre-nursery/toddler and nursery/pre-kindergarten, the initial visit is for parents only.  On the second visit, you may bring your child so that he or she may become familiar with the school’s environment.

For entry into the nursery/kindergarten and elementary programs, we require an assessment which may include testing and a personal interview with your child.  The cost of this assessment is one hundred dollars ($100.00) which is deducted from the tuition upon acceptance.  If applicable, parents are asked to request that their child’s present academic records be forwarded to our office.  In order to ensure a place in the program of your choice, parents are encouraged to enroll their child as early in the year as possible.
