Faculty

Our staff consists of teachers working together to provide an environment that communicates sharing, learning and discovering. In addition to full time classroom teachers and assistants, the staff includes a registered nurse, specialists in physical education, reading, music, mathematics and language. All staff members are infant and child CPR and First Aid trained.

Our accredited faculty implements the Reggio Emilia philosophy and helps to develop each child’s self-esteem by providing a total conceptual learning experience for the child’s developmental level. Each child’s learning readiness is considered and the time, space and opportunity is provided to develop into competent individuals.

Under the leadership of Diane Cappelluti, members of the school community engage in a variety of efforts to clarify teaching practices which will reflect the shared philosophy.

The faculty is a combination of experience and youthful vitality. Always ready to explore the potential in new methods and materials, each staff member brings proven teaching ability to the classroom, creates much of her own materials for program enrichment, and takes an active role in curriculum development. Staff members are encouraged to continue their professional development through staff workshops and graduate school. The faculty’s expertise has been recognized by Bergen Community College whose students are sent to our campus as a field site in their education program.
