Optional Pre-Kindergarten: "Focus Five"

4 Years to 5 Years

This program was established for the child who misses the cut off date for kindergarten. We are convinced of the merits of this program. Some children, who are very gifted, but very young at the time of the school entrance are not academically challenged and do not realize their potential. We feel a child’s social and emotional development should determine the time of school entrance, and generally, the gifted late-school-entrance children excel throughout their careers.

Our syllabus establishes objectives in the academic areas for children at different levels of development.  Instruction is designed for each child to progress at his or her own pace.  The staff plans more formalized activities and structured experiences where children can achieve both personal and academic success.
